Keplinger Tabbed ACCC Pitcher of the Week
TUSCALOOSA - Shelton State sophomore left hander Konner Keplinger was named ACCC Pitcher of the Week after his complete-game shutout against Lawson State, the league office announced Friday morning.
He is the first Bucs player honored this season by the league office.
Keplinger limited the Cougars to singles in the Bucs first complete game of the session. He added seven strikeouts.
He faced just two batters over the minimum, benefitting from two double plates. He retired 8 straight batters in the first, second, third and fourth innings, and retired 6 straight batters in the fourth, fifth and six innings
He threw 86 pitches; averaging only 12.3 pitches per inning
The Bucs lead the nation in ERA and WHIP this season.
